Google’s second run of Code in the Community completed by over 500 young coders!

Singapore, 8 Aug 2018 – Here’s a short snippet of the fun that took place on Saturday at Google Office Singapore! Dr. Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Transport was also there to congratulate Singapore’s future creative problem-solvers.

Code in the Community started in 2017 with the goal of providing free coding classes for Singaporean kids age 8 to 15 years old from less well-to-do backgrounds. On 8 August 2018, the second batch of young coders gathered at the Google Singapore office to celebrate their achievements.
